Airbnb Cleaning Marketplaces: The 2026 Comparison

Turno, Keepers, ConnectAndClean, Cleanster, Homeaglow, Handy, TaskRabbit: what each marketplace offers in 2026, what it costs, and its limits in Europe.

When you have no one to do the cleaning, the instinct is to look for a platform that will find someone for you. They exist, they work, but they are not all the same: some specialise in short-term rental turnovers, others simply offer domestic cleaning and have no idea what a guest check-out means. This comparison sorts the seven main names, explains what each one actually sells, and asks the question no one asks: how much does a marketplace really cost once you no longer need it.

Two categories, not to be confused

Short-term rental specialists

Turno, Keepers, ConnectAndClean, Cleanster. These platforms understand turnovers: they read your calendar, know that a guest check-out triggers a clean, and offer cleaners used to this pace and standard.

Turno is by far the most established: over 126,000 cleaners claimed worldwide, 9.7 million cleans completed according to the company, 4.7 out of 5 on Capterra with 168 verified reviews. The other three are noticeably smaller, and their geographic coverage is more limited.

General domestic cleaning platforms

Homeaglow, Handy, TaskRabbit. These offer hourly cleaning for private homes. No calendar sync, no concept of check-out, no turnover checklist, no proof of completion.

They can help in a pinch, and that’s already useful: if your regular cleaner is ill on a Saturday and your guest arrives at 4pm, they can save the day. But they do not organise anything.

The real criterion: density near you

The number on the homepage is global. What matters to you is the number of cleaners available within a fifteen-kilometre radius of your property, on a Friday in July at 11am.

On this point, no marketplace publishes country-by-country data. Turno does not provide any list of areas covered by its marketplace, and its density is primarily American: it’s a product born in the United States, where background checks for cleaners are documented, unlike elsewhere.

The only check that matters: create a free account, post a request at your real address, and count the replies within 48 hours. Three offers, the platform works for you. Zero replies, no sales pitch will make up for it.

The real cost of a match

This is the most misunderstood point in the market, so let’s look at a concrete example.

Turno charges a 5% platform fee on every payment from a client met via the marketplace. This fee is on the cleaner’s side. In practice, a professional losing 5% will factor it into their rate: you pay it, even if it’s not on your invoice.

Three properties, six turnovers a month, £60 per clean: £1,080 of cleaning per month, so about £54 in monthly commission, or £648 per year. For a match that, in reality, only happens once.

That’s the real issue: the commission continues after the introduction. You pay every month for a connection made in January. Note that Turno does not charge any platform fee on payments between a host and a cleaner who already knew each other before signing up: the rule is fair, it pays for bringing in new business. But it remains expensive over time.

When a marketplace is no longer the right tool

The tipping point is clear, and it comes sooner than you think.

When you’ve found your cleaner. A marketplace solves the problem of meeting someone. Once you’ve found your match, you keep paying for a service you no longer use. That’s the definition of a subscription to cancel.

When you have more than five properties. The price per property becomes the main cost, and the commission follows your turnovers, meaning your success.

When you need process more than manpower. Detailed checklists, recurring tasks, stock management, key safes, timestamped proof: this is not what a marketplace sells, and that’s not a criticism, it’s simply not their job.

The strategy that works, and that many hosts use without putting it into words: a marketplace to find, an operations tool to run. The two do not compete at the same stage.

Your questions

What is the best cleaning marketplace for Airbnb?

Turno, if you go by the facts: the largest pool of cleaners, the highest Capterra rating with the most reviews, and the most integrations. The real answer, though, depends on your postcode, not the global ranking: test the density near you before you commit.

Do these platforms work in France?

They are accessible, but the number of cleaners is much lower than in the US and none publish country-specific figures. Rely on local word of mouth, concierge groups, and cleaning companies in your city as well, rather than just the platform.

How much does a cleaner found on a marketplace cost?

The rate is set by the cleaner, not the platform: from £15 to £30 per hour in the UK depending on the city, or a flat fee per turnover of £40 to £90 depending on the size of the property. On top of that, there’s the platform commission, around 5%, taken from the cleaner and usually included in their rate.

Can you keep working with a cleaner found on a platform, outside of it?

Technically yes, contractually you need to check the platform’s terms, which often include a clause about introductions. Commercially, remember the platform has done its job and deserves to be paid for the connection: the real question is how long, and that’s a negotiation to have with them rather than trying to bypass.

Are cleaners vetted?

It depends on the country. Turno documents background checks for cleaners on its US marketplace. Outside the US, there is no public documentation. Always ask for proof of insurance and legal status, whatever the platform.
